The secret ending shows an insane Isaac Clarke, fully succumbing to the Marker’s influence. Once you have done that, finish the game and you will get the secret ending. Once you have them, go to the Captain’s Quarters in the Crew Deck and place the Marker Fragments on the shrine. When playing on New Game +, you will have to collect 12 Marker Fragments that are scattered all over the Ishimura. In the remake, there is an alternate ending that changes some things. However, when Isaac turns to his right, he sees a dead Nicole that immediately lunges at him, screaming in his face. He pilots the shuttle away from the planet and towards the nearest civilization. In the ending of both the original and the remake, Isaac escapes Aegis VII before it gets destroyed. This one is a new one, something that is not in the original game. Either that, or they just wanted to include this for the sake of story. Some speculate that this is a hint that they may be in the early stages of a Dead Space 2 Remake. In Kyne’s saferoom in the later chapters, Isaac can find the audio log of their conversation here. But did you know that you can find this conversation in the remake? Obviously, this is a huge deal to Isaac as he believes he is the reason why Nicole is dead. The two talks about how Nicole wouldn’t be on the Ishimura if Isaac didn’t push her to do it. When you start playing Dead Space 2, the intro starts off with a video call between Isaac and Nicole. Dead Space 2 Conversation Between Isaac and Nicole Eventually, you will get it and you can read it. You will get a secret text log if you follow the footprints by stomping and hands by punching. You should see a foot print and a hand print going around the circle. Inside is a gritty and scary looking area with a video of the Marker playing on a loop, and a circle of blood in front of it. In Chapter 4, there is Break Room you can enter when enroute to Electrical Systems. Sadly, Nathan McNeill dies at the end of Extraction, and Gabe Weller dies saving Lexine Murdoch in Dead Space 2 Severed.Ī little bonus: Alissa Vincent from the Dead Space Downfall movie is also referenced in an audio log. The original did not reference these characters because Extraction came out after the original. He found Nicole and he’s going to do everything he can to get her and him out of the Ishimura and somewhere safe. Isaac eventually meets Nicole, but something about her seems… odd, telling Isaac to “make us whole” and whatnot. Isaac volunteers to go in order to make amends, only to find that the Ishimura is swarmed with monsters. Before the events of the game, it is revealed that Isaac and Nicole had a falling out that resulted in Nicole not contacting Isaac for a while. The main reason as to why Isaac Clarke went to the Ishimura in the first place is because his girlfriend, Nicole Brennan, is stationed there. This one is a bit of a spoiler, and it’s an easter egg that also appeared in the original.
